Weaknesses and strengths found in The Tower tarot card seems a bit of a dichotomy. How can weakness and strength be shown at the same time?
You can see from the picture of the card that The Tower has been/is being struck by lightening. Firstly, The Tower represents you, your life, your job, your projects or your relationships; the lightening represents unseen, and outside, forces that come out of the blue and rock your world, shattering what you understood to be stable, secure and enduring.
In this close up you can see that it not just the top that has been knocked off, but the destruction goes deep into the base of the tower, with fire reaching every inch of it, to indicate the total destruction and nothing can be saved.
Have you ever taken a subject in school that you didn’t really get the gist of and never really made any effort in, or do a job of work that you didn’t really understand the process behind? Well, this subject, or this job, is never one that we will ever succeed in, because we will be exposed, sooner or later, because of our lack of knowledge and application (I’ve been there). This card depicts outside forces breaking down our Tower to the foundations because the foundations we built on were weak, there was not enough strength and structure to keep it whole against this force. So when we are faced with the loss of something we thought was going to endure, we are devastated ourselves.
The Tower then shows us the strength that we can gain from this misfortune.
We have to rebuild, of course, and that might take time and effort, but what this card will prompt us to ask is “What went wrong?” and this is how this card gives us such strength. By understanding that, in rebuilding our Tower, we must make very sure that the foundations ( the setting of the structure, relationship, project or job) are much firmer, stronger and longer-lasting than the previous one, we must pay attention to detail, know our subject, research facts and information, understanding the people we are with. This message allows us to start anew, analysing what we didn’t do well last time, and how we can do it better this time, so that it will withstand the outside blows, and unexpected misfortunes, and still stand true. And more than that, we can be comfortable in the knowledge that what we have turned our hands to, this time, was done with the greatest of care and thought and not on a wing and a prayer.
So whilst The Tower exposes the weakness of our endeavours it also shows us how to make sure we build the strongest and most durable Tower we can for the future.
Although this card is undoubtedly about loss, it does, in fact, steer us towards creating a much better reality for ourselves, and therefore a very valuable card.

Howdy! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established
blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick.
I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start.
Do you have any points or suggestions? Thank you

Hi! Thanks for your comment. It is fairly straight forward to set up. You can either set up a page and call it your blog page and just add new posts to it with each blog – or you can find a blogging site which is already set up such as blogher.com or something like that – there are loads – just search online 🙂
