ARIES:
Are you feeling like you need an adventure? The Knight of Wands suggests that you could be looking for something new and infinitely more exciting and rewarding in your life, but is the time right for you? Well, the Knight of Wands rarely feels the satisfaction of seeing the results of his labour, because he never stays in any one place to see how things work out – he never sees his achievements – his desire is to continually search for the perfect adventure/venture. He gets bored easily. So, if this is the way you feel right now then carry on reading because the rest of the cards have another perspective for you.
Perhaps you want to escape because your love life, or some other relationship, might not be the happiest at the moment (Eight of Cups) – in fact it is possible you are feeling pretty low about it. It’s not ideal for you, of course, and you are likely to be upset, but the urge to run away, just now, might not be the right course of action, it would seem. The Eight of Cups wants you to accept the reality in the now, pick yourself up off the floor, dust yourself off and get ready to face the future – whatever it brings.
But what you need to do first is to have a long and clear think about your situation. The Hanged Man card depicts being in an uncomfortable situation – one that you might want to object to or fight against – but this card suggests the best approach, for now, is to not struggle, or push, to make things happen. The Hanged Man just submits to his situation, which allows him to conserve his strength and energy, as well use this time to get his thoughts and feelings in place. If he were to struggle and push in his predicament he would simply cause himself more pain. He wants you to accept this situation for what it is – once you can accept what has happened, you can start the recovery in the best way possible for you. He wants you to stay put for now.
This is endorsed by the Four of Swords. This card is one which suggests you have recently been through a tough time (perhaps even traumatic) – however, it is now over. This Four wants you to look to your wounds and give yourself the treatment you need and the time you need to heal. This is the most important message of the reading. Look after yourself right now – for if you don’t, the road to recovery will be much further than it should be. Treat yourself like gold, or treasure, right now – you really are precious and very worth looking after. You’ll soon find yourself fit and strong enough to undertake that exciting new adventure!
TAURUS:
There may be an issue or conflict hanging over you which you might be reluctant to tackle for fear of the consequences; however it will be important that you begin to try and work it out. The Eight of Swords is a card which brings the message that it is time to try to make things better. You can see from the rest of the reading that Swords cards are the majority – this could mean that this issue is probably having more of an effect on you than you think. But this Eight of Swords advises you to recognise that you had a part to play in why this issue has built up and, therefore, you have to be ready to play your part in making things better. The sooner this situation is tackled the better – and it could be resolved more easily than you think if you don’t delay.
The King of Swords, could have appeared to reassure you that you have the necessary skills to bring this issue into the open, as well as being able to handle it with clear and logical facts (this is one of his particular attributes). He won’t allow his emotions get the better of him as they can sometimes create more confusion, just be aware that because he is so honest (and brutal at times) he can be a little insensitive to others’ feelings, so try to balance the reality with a little understanding too.
Once this issue is out in the open and hopefully fixed, there will be time to tend to your emotional needs and to start the healing process by resting, and recuperating, afterwards (Four of Swords). Furthermore, this card would indicate that the conflict at hand is very likely to be over and done with, which will be a huge relief to you. With this challenge behind you and your healing complete, you’ll soon be strong enough for anything!
Going back to the Six of Pentacles which has squeezed itself between all these Sword cards, it looks as though a much needed gift or loan might be offered to you via another person’s generosity. If this does happen, it is worth remembering two things – one is to use this financial opportunity to ensure you set yourself for the future (money can make money), and the second being that you could find yourself truly amazed that someone ‘out there’ wants to help you, thus restoring your faith in human nature. Which would be lovely!
GEMINI:
It is easy to get into the frame of mind that your relationship is going nowhere or is struggling. According to the Five of Cups, this might be the way you are feeling at the moment. However, the inherent message from this card is that, regardless of how you feel, there is still a way to come through this difficult period. This card suggests that instead of focusing on all the negative aspects of your relationship you can shift your mindset to look at, and focus on, all the positives it brings to you. This could bring about a revival of your own happiness, as well as showing you that your relationship is far from over. All relationships need two-way nurturing but when things have come to an impasse one of the two needs to step up and change things. You can do this.
Perhaps, the issues in your relationship are merely a blip in the totally of things, and that recent events have blown them up out of proportion. But come July The Sun will be shining on you. The Sun is one of the most positive cards in a tarot deck and suggests that not only will you have happiness and joy, but an abundance of luck and achievement too – in other words whilst The Sun shines on you, it nurtures and blesses every thing you turn your hand to. So, make the most of this amazing energy in July and get as many tricky things sorted out as you can – it would be a shame to waste it! Enjoy!
The Four of Swords would indicate that there are still some things that could weigh heavily on your mind (and maybe even your heart and soul). This card represents a period of time (July) in which you should look to mending your hurts as best you can – it is important to pay attention to, and accept, the hurts first and foremost; you should spend time looking after yourself and pandering to your own needs; to rest and recuperate. When you allow yourself to do this the healing can really start, and you should feel the balm calming your nerves and spirit.
The Three of Cups is a delightful card of celebration. It is a card which represents relationships and, in particular, the ‘addition’ of something in a relationship. So, it could be that you hear about an engagement, a marriage, a conception or even a birth of a baby – it will be something for you to be happy about, and to celebrate – a much needed love boost!
CANCER:
We have a lovely start to this reading with the Ten of Cups! This is a truly happy and positive card in a lot of ways – apart from the inherent message that all things are going amazingly well in terms of your relationships (secure and established relationships that have pulled through the most difficult of times) this card brings a lot of positive and affirmative vibes with it. Indeed it is a lucky card too. This card would certainly herald a happy and joyous month ahead for you! Enjoy.
The Page of Cups sitting beside it could represent a need for you to reflect on yourself – what you need and what you would like from life (in terms of relationships) but in order to attract the right sort of people into your life you need to establish the self respect and love of your ‘self’ first. In other words love yourself first because when you accept who, and what, you are, you will attract the same energy to you from other people. If this is not the case for you, then this Page could represent a young person (teen age) who might need your specific help right now. It is a sensitive age and the issue might need some careful reflection before you attempt to help them.
You may feel, however, that in certain aspects of your life (possibly with specific regard to work/projects/ventures or even just ideas) you have hurdles or obstacles that you feel you’ll never be able to overcome (Five of Wands). If this is the case for you then the advice from this card is to look at this issue from as many different angles as you can (get help from other people too since their perspective might give you new ideas). Don’t just go for the obvious since thinking ‘out of the box’, as the saying goes, is more likely to bring the solutions you need.
The Knight of Wands following the Five suggests that if you take this advice you will be able to ‘move’ forward. This Knight is always on the move and looking for more adventures – sometimes he never stays long enough to see any achievements, however, in this reading (taking into consideration the neighbouring cards) it is likely that he represents a move forward for you to the next stage of things, which is really an exciting prospect.
But read on…….
Cancer is the star sign for July and this means it is your birthday month! You have a special extra ‘birthday’ card drawn for you as a treat, which is:
Wow! The Sun card! This card will be wanting to tell you that you bring a lot of lovely sunshine and happiness into peoples’ lives. You are able to bring love, sustenance and joy to those who know you. You are likely to seek joy and happiness in general, and, it seems, you want everyone to enjoy life as much as you do! In addition, this card appearing for you would indicate that your birthday month will be blessed with the amazing, and nurturing, energy of The Sun. You should find that most things will be really easy to tackle, and each task bringing achievement and success. If there are things you need to sort out do it in July as you will have the best energy around you to help you get the best result from any opportunity; hurdles should be easily overcome, and hopefully a feeling of general joy which should make your life feel really, really wonderful this coming month. Enjoy and Happy Birthday!!
LEO:
In this reading we have a card for each of the suits in a tarot deck – Swords: mental alacrity/conflicts – Wands: Projects/adventures/passion/drive – Cups: Emotions/relationships, and Pentacles: Material security/income/work. This is quite unusual in a reading and will be suggesting that it is important to take a look at all aspects of your personal life this coming month.
The King of Swords suggests that you are doing very well in terms of commanding what you need out of life – that you communicate well and are good at assessing situations in terms of logic and deduction. However, this card would suggest that a lot of your decisions could be made only with your head without allowing your heart or your emotions to have a say. It may be that you are generally admired for being clever, which is great, however, people may feel that you are somewhat aloof and, possibly, insensitive at times – due to being brutally ‘honest’. In other words – you might need to find a balance between your head and your heart when dealing with people this coming month.
The Seven of Wands suggests a lack of motivation, or drive, for your current projects/ventures this month, and this could be causing some boredom in your life. Instead of focusing on the drudgery of what you have to do each day, try and remember why you took on these projects at all – you must have been enthusiastic or excited about them originally? If you revisit your original feelings you may well find that you could reignite the passion you had in the early days.
In terms of relationships you might need to reflect on your own emotional needs. The Page of Cups is a card which tends to represent feeling ‘ready’ for a new relationship, when in fact you might not have got over some pain from a previous relationship. This card asks you to consider how you feel right now and how you came to feel this way. If there is hurt, allow yourself to accept it and understand it is in the past (and leave it there), you can’t change what happened……..but you don’t have to carry the pain forward with you for the rest of your life. In short, this card wants you to love ‘you’ and your life, and, in doing so, your confident energy will shine out and attract the right people.
The Six of Pentacles is a cheerful card which indicates that an unexpected gift or loan will not only bring some much needed help in terms of finance, but it will also make you feel happy in general. This person’s generosity will restore your faith in human nature, and it may even come as a surprise to you that someone is ready to help YOU. It is not often that little golden opportunities come our way, and so the most important message of all is to make the most of any help that comes your way (and, if you can pay it forward in some way, this will keep this lovely energy going). Enjoy.
VIRGO:
The Knight of Cups and the Page of Wands start this reading. This could mean that young people around you might need some attention from you. The Knight of cups is in love with ‘love’ – he is always searching for the ideal partner and will move on from one romance to the next because it is never perfect. If this is not a young person around you who might need some sage advice (about love) it may be someone coming into your life who is searching for a romance, and, if you do encounter them in this aspect, just enjoy it as the lightest of fun for the time being – in case it does turn out to be the dreamy Knight of Cups. If it does stand the test of time then all well and good, and by then you’ll know whether you are both ready for a more serious relationship.
In terms of the Page of Wands this might represent a youngster who needs help with a particular project, who who might be a little too eager, without the knowledge, to get it done and dusted – again a little sage advice might help – if you can get them to listen (for some reason this project might be more relevant than others for it to come up in this reading). Otherwise this card might represent your own desire to get a new project going – If this is the case then make sure you get some sensible advice from someone with the appropriate knowledge, and experience, since this is the best way for your project to succeed. Without good advice it might not prosper in the way that it should.
The Emperor is a very strong card in a reading. He could be representing you, or someone around you. This card depicts someone with a lot of influence and power – often a person with authority, a manager or even a father-figure, possible even someone who can be a bit domineering. The Emperor can either be a powerful ally or a formidable foe and this is the crux of the matter. If you need some help at the moment it is possible there is someone around you who could help – you will have to approach them soon since it won’t be long before they move on to their next task. If you are approached for help it is possible that your influence is a lot stronger than you thought – and you will need to decide whether you are The Emperor as the powerful ally……….or the formidable foe. Hopefully you will choose wisely as to which you’ll be.
The Six of Cups is a card which indicates your focus might be pointing to the past – in terms of your romantic life. This card usually represents regret that a past relationship had to end – but, more importantly, that you might be looking back at this relationship in a misty and nostalgic way. It is easy to forget the real, and difficult, emotions of past situations – sometimes the pain can be completely removed; but if a relationship didn’t survive then, the chances are it was never going to work. However, there is a caveat with this card which suggests that to have a reconciliation in this relationship, or to revive it, both parties will need to have grown enough to work through the difficulties and to understand what went wrong and how to fix it going forward, so it is not an impossibility.
LIBRA:
The Lovers is a card which represents choices or decisions within relationships. More often than not it appears when romantic relationships can get difficult. On the other hand this card can represent other platonic relationships that have a very strong pull (maternal/paternal/children/siblings/very close friends etc). This card is about having to make decisions within a relationship and the outcome is likely to rest with you – therefore any decisions you make should be considered carefully, coming from a point of love for all concerned and with the best intentions – this way, you will be able to justify your actions in the future should you need to.
In terms of projects and ventures (these could be business ideas, projects you are dealing with, house move plans and the like) the Six of Wands suggests that things, so far, are going well and that soon you will see signs of success. This will give you a boost that you are on the right path and that your approach to them is good. You may even find that people who doubted your ability are now are ready to admit you are more than capable. This will make you very happy. Well done.
However, The Chariot seems to imply that come July you might be prone to being pushed and pulled in different directions. This could be people demanding your time and energy, or possibly events that could divert your attention from what YOU really need to focus on. In July try to stay determinedly on your own path – your goals and aims are as important as anyone else’s – there is nothing wrong with turning down people, or events, that can stop you from achieving what you need to this coming month.
This is endorsed by the Two of Pentacles which suggests, particularly with regard to your work or income, you might be offered some sort of partnership which could consolidate your work efforts. This could be a monetary offer (a loan or investment) but it could be help, in a practical way, that could free you up to work in the way you want to – this will be useful as you need to make some headway right now.
SCORPIO:
The Five of Pentacles really boils down to a lack of faith in yourself – usually because of financial pressures or the loss of a standard of living that you once had. The message of this card is to suggest that you realign your needs to your current situation. The loss of certain standards might make you feel somewhat bitter, but that approach is only setting you back and affecting your confidence. Know that you can achieve what you had before, this is just a temporary delay, and it is important to not set your standards by ‘what other people think’. Make sure you believe enough in yourself to do what you have done before – to achieve the goals you set yourself.
In terms of relationships it looks as though a romantic situation could blossom into something with more commitment than it has shown so far. The Two of Cups is lovely card which heralds the upgrade of a relationship to one with some real substance to it. Obviously it is still early days yet – and this card would suggest you take things in your stride – however, this relationship does look set to bring more joy to your life.
The Hermit, a Major Arcana card, suggests that at some point in the month ahead it will be a good idea to find time to reflect deeply on your ‘Self’. Sometimes, we get caught up in life, and can spend our time reacting to events around us rather than steering life in the direction we want to go. Sometimes we lose sight of our own path or, worse still, we lose the bright light than shines from within us under the barrage of the challenges we face. The Hermit advises you to dig deep and revive that light – to shine it brightly to all around you. He wants you to find your goals and aims again, he wants you to be sure you are heading in the direction you really want to go – it is important that you live life in the way you should be and not through the demands of other forces.
The Seven of Swords is a card which often represents using ‘little white lies’ to get us through a situation – we all do it – sometimes it is possibly justified, but for July this card is advising that it is not. This could be with reference to someone around you, but it could be with regard to you too. Be alert to the possibility of this manipulation. The message of this card is to reflect on the need to disguise the truth in this matter (whether it is yourself or someone else) – what is at the root of this? – as it might help to avoid it developing into something harder to manage.
SAGITTARIUS:
The Four of Cups indicates a feeling of boredom/lack of enthusiasm for a specific relationship. This can easily happen in a relationship and it can be the result of the ‘attitude’ of either partner in the relationship. Obviously, if you are really concerned about this, or wish to make things better, it will be necessary to check whether your own contribution to the relationship is lacking, and if so, why is that the case? A change of mindset to a more positive one could make a huge difference, and get your relationship back on track, if that is what you want.
Speaking of attitudes we next look at the Ace of Swords which is a change of attitude, or approach, to life in general. This card represents a new way of thinking or the desire to take on a new belief, perhaps even to follow a different set of tenets than the ones you have mostly followed in your life. This change of perception, or belief, can sometimes come as a surprise to others who think they really know you. This can also create some conflict – especially if this change is relevant to your religion or spirituality – they may not understand where you are ‘coming from’ anymore. Just make sure that you communicate clearly your rationale for this change, this way they should be more understanding about your needs.
The next card is also a Swords card, which highlights miscommunications or misunderstandings, the Page of Swords. Again, if you have a new approach to life – a different attitude to things – you might not be as clear about how you feel or think. It is possible that someone might misinterpret you or even misquote you – there is probably no real intent to cause trouble; however, it is important to be very clear about what you – or other people are saying – because sometimes these small matters can escalate.
The Six of Cups is usually a card which focuses on a feeling of regret over a past relationship – perhaps even the desire for a reconciliation. If this is not the case for you then it is possible that you (with your change of attitude/approach) could be looking back on previous relationships to gain some insight into the way you are feeling right now and how that relationship affected you in the long term. If you are actively hoping for a reconciliation, it is important to recognise that time really does soften the pain of a relationship that didn’t work out (whatever that reason was) and it is better to be more realistic and truthful about it. It is also important to understand that, for the chance of a reconciliation, both sides of the partnership will need to have grown enough to understand why/how things went wrong and both should be committed to fix the issues.
CAPRICORN:
The first two cards appear to focus on your work or projects. The Knight of Pentacles is successful because he puts an incredible amount of effort into every task he undertakes – and he pays attention the detail to make sure everything is absolutely right down to the last cross of a t. He is probably reminding you that this coming month, in particular, it will be very important to pay attention to each detail and not leave anything to chance in terms of your work.
The Eight of Wands suggests that after a stagnant phase – where hurdles and obstacles were in your way – you are about to be free to move forward. The removal of these hurdles will allow you to surge forward with your projects and allow your creativity to run wild. This means you are likely to be extremely busy and yet incredibly productive and this will be a pleasing result.
The Two of Swords does suggest that an issue or conflict is being avoided by you. Perhaps you aren’t tackling it as you would normally do because you do not have a clear understanding of the issue itself – perhaps gaining more information or insight as to why this conflict has developed might help you to have the confidence to tackle it. It is likely that if you deal with this right now it will be much easier to sort than if you continue to avoid it.
As we merrily (or not) traverse through each day thinking we are in control of our life we are sometimes surprised by Fate. This is recognised through the card the Wheel of Fortune. We cannot choose the time the Wheel will spin, nor can we decide where it stops – it just happens when it feels ready. So, in July, it is possible that something will happen out of the blue. When the Wheel spins it can take you out of current situations and deposit you somewhere else so, for instance, if you are stuck in a rut, the Wheel can take you out of them. If you are struggling in some way the Wheel can new bring new opportunities, and new chances. However, you need to be alert to these chances (that is why there is a card for this in tarot) – if you feel something grabs your attention then look into it, do some research, or act on your instincts because it might be the Wheel turning and this is your chance to make the most of it.
AQUARIUS:
It could be that a little bit of help is coming your way in terms of your work/income this coming month. The Two of Pentacles represents an offer of help or some sort of partnership which can help you increase your financial situation. This means you could have the chance to really get a grips of your finances, and used wisely, this help could in fact set you up for the future. Make the most of this offer since these opportunities don’t happen too often, and money can make money.
Let’s jump to the Eight of Pentacles because it would seem the prospect of really earning some significant money might be possible in July. The Eight is a big jump from the Two card – however the Eight of Pentacles also highlights the need to get a little more knowledge/experience/learning under your belt for it to become a real possibility. So, if you come across something you don’t understand, in terms of work, do not leave it to chance – find out about it, learn about it – add it you to your skill set, because it could be key to cementing your financial situation in a really good way.
In between these two cards falls the Nine of Wands. This is a card of exhaustion – which means that you must be working incredibly hard – but it is the effort, the drive, the passion and the work which you put in that will bring the rewards that could be very nearly ready to come to you (the Pentacles cards). You must summon up any last vestiges of energy you have, to just keep going a little longer. The Nine card indicates you are so very close to your goal – the number Ten is the completion number so if you can keep up the effort you may well fly over the finish line very soon!
The Page of Wands is normally a card which advises not to rush into any new projects without gaining real knowledge about it. In his eagerness to get things up and running, this Page is not interested in listening to advice and believes, in his naivety, that he knows enough about things to get started – he is misguided. This card is likely to have appeared to remind you to be a more cautious about things right now. Don’t assume you know everything around your work – be ready to take some advice, it will be worth it in the long run.
PISCES:
The status and the colours of these cards make me feel like a lot could happen this month for the Pisces star sign – and pretty good things too!
The Queen of Pentacles is a card which comes out to represent a really comfortable life style, and having the security and income to provide for any dependents. She, herself, is independent, and does not have to rely on anyone else for her lifestyle. So, this card could indicate a good level of income for most (even if you are not rich, this card would indicate being able to afford the things you consider necessary and perhaps a couple of luxuries, as and when you want them).
The Knight of Cups next to her indicates that there could be someone around you who might make you feel appreciated, or possibly even loved (if you want to be in that situation), and that can only be a good thing. This card could also mean that you feel ready to have an adventure, or even just want to go out and have a little fun. And there is nothing wrong with that – enjoy!
Then we have the Strength card. This card is really about not falling foul of your own pride because of the need for a bit of attention. Everyone needs to be recognised at some time or other – whether that is at work or at home. There are two ways to get the attention you require – one is to shout and demand it – another is to use gentle persuasion – firm but kind. Whatever you want to achieve this month should be handled in the latter manner rather than the former – according to the Strength card, gentle persuasion will win the day for you. Demanding behaviour might result in embarrassment and not achieving anything at all.
The King of Wands, as the last card, endorses this. Your mastery, drive, effort and hard work will get you where you want to be. You have everything necessary to achieve the goals that you have set. The key is to not lose sight of these goals and to work steadily towards them without wavering – this is how the King of Wands operates and he knows you can do the same. It looks set to be an interesting month for you – perhaps you’ll achieve much more than you ever expected to. It looks as though the energies around these cards might help significantly.
