In-depth meaning: Something has sparked the Subject’s interest. At this stage, they won’t have the full idea or all the facts and figures needed to evidence its real potential. They do know however, that it has real promise and warrants more attention.
The Ace of Wands is the birth of a vision, a new idea or vocation. The Subject is analysing something in more depth and is realising it may have more potential than they first thought. Not only that, it’s developing a hunger to pursue this further in the Subject.
The Subject is impatient to move forward and may be frustrated living in the here and now. They want to embark on their new journey straight away but they will have to wait for the opportunity to grow into something more concrete.
Notes on the image: There is just one Wand standing in a circle of fire. The Wand is large and standing on its own, this represents the start of a new journey (the Wand or staff/stave is a tool used by travellers, walkers, wizards etc – indicating new journeys, ventures or adventures). There is a lot of energy around this new venture, hence the large Wand and, as the journey progresses, other Wands will be added to form a structure, which will sometimes be stable and at other times at risk of falling into the ring of fire. Fire is the element associated with Wands. We need to make sure our passion and hot-headedness does not cause our structure of Wands to fall into the fire and be burnt.
