Well Hi!

Nice to see you here ready for the up-and-coming month of Love.  Valentines Day is something that meant more to me when I was young, and it was SO important that my boyfriend/husband remembered it………….After 37 years of marriage it really doesn’t seem so important to me, because our years together are the testimony of true love, and all of the days in between (which are very many indeed) are more important than the one day! What I do understand is how Valentine’s Day embodies the focus and thought on love in general, and these days it sort of goes beyond the ‘love of our lives’ and incorporates those around us too – thinking about love, and how lucky we are to have people around us that love us, is the single most positive thought which will multiply the loving energy this whole world needs.  So, go ahead, think love, and want love, and appreciate those who love you.  It can only bring happiness.

These Tarotscopes are going to be about the month ahead, as usual, because the reality is that one day just comes and goes like any other, but there does seem to be a real weight towards love and relationships in them

The tarot cards I have used are my own creation and are from The Tarot House Deck

The cards are read as follows:  bottom centre, bottom left, top left, top right and bottom right.  This is an adapted spread about ‘your life’ in the coming month with the questions ‘Who you are at the moment’, ‘What is affecting you’, What is important right now’ and ‘What is the problem’ just as a general guidance for me to interpret the cards.

Aries:

Six of Cups ~ The Devil ~ Three of Cups ~ Nine of Wands ~ Ace of Swords

You are in a strange place in terms of love, in and around February, are you perhaps regretting that a relationship has gone awry and wish you could make it right? There is every possibility that it could work in the future, providing that you have both learned about the things that went wrong the first time round.  You are so passionate about your relationship that the fire is, perhaps, a little too overwhelming at times for some, and this might have been a problem too.  You could be feeling guilty about something, or worried that you did something really bad, and that you will never be forgiven.  Every single one of us can make a mistake, it is human to err, but if your partner is willing to give it another try it is important for you to forgive yourself and leave your errors in the past, whilst remembering not to make the same mistakes again. Your relationship is your main focus this month and it seems you would love to take it to the next level, perhaps get engaged or get married, even have a child.  All things are possible but the tarot cards seem to suggest that you are tying yourself up in knots, and you are getting upset, to get the relationship to the stage you want it to be. You are nearly there – don’t give in just yet.  By being anxious and focusing on past unhappiness will not help you, and the undue worry, fear and exasperation can overtake rational thought and you could miss out on a lot of wonderful opportunities around you. It is important to look forward with hope and not get bogged down in the ‘if only’s.

The Ace of Swords card is suggesting a new start, which could bring results if you take a step back and start to use your head, more than your heart and fiery passion.  The cooler and more confident you look, and feel, is likely to bring the results you really want.   It is absolutely true that you can be cool, calm AND passionate – it is just about knowing how, when and why.  A relationship flourishes by embracing some of our partner’s qualities, and relinquishing some of our own, it is about finding the balance between you both, and meeting in the middle, where you can both feel safe and happy.

Taurus:

A partnership of some sort could be on offer to you in February which could help you out financially, you may not find it easy to accept help but these opportunities do not happen that often, so it would be advisable to make the most of it.  The Two of Pentacles may even refer to a romantic relationship, developing, which is something you really desire.  You would love to be able to sit back and say it is done, I have achieved it, I have found the love of my life; but love doesn’t always come that easily, we have to expend some time and energy into it.  We need to embrace it, nurture it and express gratitude for it (The Sun).  It could be that the things you desire are not manifesting, the way you want them to, because you are overburdened with tasks and anxieties (Ten of Wands) which are leaving little room for growth in any direction, or any other ways in your life – although they are around you for the taking (Page of Wands).  It may be time to relinquish some of your responsibilities to make room for a bit of fun.  We cannot be all things, to all people, all of the time.  If you can do this you are likely to open up the possibility of love, new people, enjoyment and happiness, but it is down to you to give yourself the time and the opportunities.

It may be that you will feel let down by someone around you in the coming month, and whilst this is difficult in some ways it will help you to understand what to look for in the people you want in your life, and those who it is best to say goodbye to.  It seems harsh but these challenges enable us sift through the things that are not good for us, to clear room for better ones.  Maybe your focus is a little heavy on the ambition/drive side, and some balance is needed in the way of love and fun, but unless you allow yourself the time to enjoy these things by being ‘too busy’ you are unlikely to open any doors to let them in.

Gemini

Knight of Cups ~ King of Cups ~ The World ~ Three of Swords ~ The Hanged Man

You are very dreamy about love at the moment and can only see the absolute wonder of it all, this goes for all your relationships not just romantic ones.  Like a Knight on a quest for a damsel in distress to rescue, you feel you would love to tell the world how wonderful it is to have the right person in your life and how to go about it.  It seems such an easy question to answer, to you. Not every person finds ‘the one’ but you and your relationship has come far, along with all its trials and tribulations (The King of Cups). It’s true that the path of love never runs smooth and there are some things that take a lot of heart to forgive. Sometimes it is difficult to take any chances that might open ourselves to hurt again, but without the hurt, the joys would not be so beautiful, and you are willing to risk it. Everything is going right for you at the moment, it is time to embrace the wonders that The World can offer us and pay it forward to others so that they can enjoy them too.  This reading, so far, is about spreading the love that you have in abundance inside of you, and all around you.  By giving out this amount of love you will make the world a better place.

We will all come across people who will betray us in one way or another, but they come into our lives to teach us to stand up for what we believe is right, and there are some people we can forgive for hurting us, and some that we cannot.  Of the people you let go, don’t think ill of them or hang onto the hurt, for this just gives them the power over you that they wanted.

The Hanged Man teaches us to let the trials of life flow through us, to accept them and to contemplate their affect and how we make good use of them.  It may be time to ‘go with the flow’ this February, and observe what life and people are teaching you because when the time is right, you will be a strong force of love and a wonderful example to others.

Cancer:

You may not be feeling that your life is exactly what you want it to be, as we head into February.  The Six of Swords shows that you are dealing with some unhappiness in a very serene way, because you are not ready to rock the boat despite feeling unhappy.  It is admirable that you can continue, day to day, through  life whilst feeling like this, but you really do desire a little sunshine and fun and appreciation in your life/relationships.  It seems that you really need something to cheer things up despite having practically everything you need right now (The Sun).  It could be that you are feeling pretty bored in your relationship and this is having a negative impact on what should be a perfect situation. As with any relationship, there has to be input from both sides but it is easy to get to a stalemate situation because both sides feel they are doing everything they can.  In fact, just a change of mindset, perception or even just a smile, or one word, can get things in motion again.  The big question is, do you want it to work? (The Lovers)  This is a question you will be asking yourself in February.

It is your decision to make, at the end of the day, but there are two (at least) factors that need to be considered – your own needs, which are really important, of course, one shouldn’t stay in a situation which is making one unhappy.  The other is – once it is gone, it is gone, are you going to be absolutely sure that, if your partner is no longer around, you will be happy?  Because they may be no coming back from that decision.  Decisions are always difficult, but one way to choose an option is to try and imagine life in the future, through both scenarios, and see which one you are happiest with and the one you know you will be able to deal with the consequences of.

The High Priestess card shows that there will be something coming to the fore for you which is not clear just yet.  She often represents things unseen and unknown, or a desire to do things differently, it is a Major Arcana card with a big impact, so really she would be advising not to make a decision just yet.

Leo:

Nine of Wands ~ The Empress ~ The Hierophant ~ Page of Wands ~ Eight of Wands

You may be feeling that life is a constant drudge but that you are not getting anywhere, you feel close to throwing in the towel because it all feels too much, but you mustn’t, because you are nearly at a stage where you will see some results.  Keep focusing on the finishing line, which will appear very soon, rather than on the hard work it is taking to get you there.  You can do it.

There is support around you which is helping you get to where you want to be, and it is a strong force which is driving things apace (The Empress), this is likely to be a strong woman in your life who you can trust.  Make sure you listen to her advice and don’t be surprised if she gets angry if you try to do it your own way, she does have your best interest at heart and can see things more objectively than you.  You are likely to be wanting to do something differently, maybe even learn something new – it might be a new way of approaching things, which will make a big difference to your life.  This may take shape as someone you admire who can advise you, or a mentor or a manager, that will help you on a new project, which looks likely to start soon (Page of Wands); it is early days yet, but this card shows real potential in this endeavour. It is followed by the Eight of Wands which is a big indication of new drive, ambition and creativity.  Times will be busy and productive but, more importantly you will be really enjoying what you are doing, and you will have the motivation to ensure your efforts start to move things forward for you.

The fact that there are more ‘people’ cards in this reading, than not, indicates your relationships should be be key factors in February and that you are well supported.  Make sure they are appreciated, they are helping you over this very tiring part of your journey.

Virgo:

Temperance ~ Nine of Cups ~ Four of Wands ~ The Magician ~ The Star

The card Temperance represents putting a lot of love into a relationship and, also, looking closely at how we are doing something from a new perspective; this is to encourage us to see how far we have come and how much we have learnt along the way.  This Major Arcana card and the Nine of Cups, beside it, suggests that February will be a very rewarding time in terms of love for you, so make sure you focus on your love life and take time to enjoy it to the full – you deserve it!  It seems that everything is taking a turn for the better for you (Four of Wands) and because you have worked so hard to build a firm foundation, this base will now stand you in good stead, as you build your life up from it. The Nine of Cups and the Four of Wands could also indicate the relationship you are in, or,  if you are single, that the love and appreciation you give yourself, has ensured the solid grounding on which the contentment and success you are experiencing right now is well supported.  You are doing the right thing and you are happy.

The Magician appearing in the reading would suggest that you will come to a crossroad in February which will result in a change of direction for you, it might not be clear which way you are heading but rest assured that you are well equipped for this new road, so keep your eyes peeled for signs and indications as to which direction you should be heading.  It might be a while for things to become really clear, but The Star card would suggest that all you need to do is to make sure you keep doing what you do well for the time being, things will come to light when they are ready and just trust that what you need is heading your way.

Libra:

The Chariot ~ The Sun ~ Strength ~ Page of Cups ~ The Wheel of Fortune

Perhaps you feel things are ‘running away’ with you at the moment and you don’t feel like you are in control.  Life sometimes speeds up in order to get us to make us sit up and grab the reins.  This is all about control and making sure that you know exactly what you want and how to make sure you get it.  The Chariot card focuses on being pulled in different directions, this does not help us get to where we want to be and we can easily be dragged down a road we do not wish to go.  The only way to make sure we get where we want to be, is to make sure we are directing our chariot and that the horses respond to our commands. In other words, if things are running away with us we need to put in some clear options and priorities to make sure we are managing things proactively rather than having to react to the things happening around us. The Sun card represents happiness in your life, otherwise, so it seems that just getting a little control over events will make your life much easier. It also seems that you feel that you need to be ‘strong’ all the time too, and whilst this is a good thing in some respects, it can also lead to a little arrogance or pride that our way is the right way. This card may indicate you may need to be aware that ‘fighting’ for everything all the time might lead to a bit of a bullish attitude which might not help during February.

The Page of Cups indicates a lack of confidence in yourself at the moment.  Look deep inside yourself, and look beyond the hurts of the past, to make yourself understand that you are worthy of love – if you love yourself, and have confidence, you will attract the love and attention you desire. A change for the better is coming for you in February (The Wheel of Fortune) which might help with your confidence issues.

February promises to be an interesting month for you with all these Major Arcana cards, so make sure your hands are firmly on the reins if you want things to go the way you want them.

Scorpio:

The Magician ~ Knight of Pentacles ~ Four of Cups ~ Seven of Wands ~ Five of Swords

You are at a crossroads right now and are not sure which direction to take.  This is really difficult, at times, but what The Magician will tell us, is that by making our decision, one way or another, we have the skills to make it work, providing we head down that road wholeheartedly and determined to make the best of it.  New directions can test our abilities, but they are often the only way we learn what we are capable of. Wherever, this new direction takes you, the Knight of Pentacles advises you to pay attention to detail.  This Knight is pedantic, he makes sure every little task is seen to, and done properly, he ties up all the loose ends and will spend time going over things to make sure nothing is overlooked. It sounds tedious but the truth is, whatever this Knight undertakes he will do it well, and therein lies his success.  This is especially important because the Four of Cups and the Seven of Wands both indicate boredom, and a lack of enthusiasm, in your day to day tasks and, perhaps, even relationships.  The reality is that it could be your mindset which is causing the stagnation on both fronts. By reminding yourself of where you were heading, who with, and why, you might be able to remember the goal you were heading for, and regain some of the enthusiasm you started off with. The middle of any journey can get boring, but we have no choice but to keep going if we want to reach our destination. Keep very focused on what you want to achieve in February, and make sure everything you do, you do with the best of your ability and then still check it over again, if you want to start seeing some results. You will also need to consider carefully which battles you are willing to fight, and why, and those which might be better conceded, for not everything is worth the upset of a conflict.

Sagittarius:

Four of Wands ~ Four of Pentacles ~ The Emperor ~ Seven of Swords ~ Queen of Pentacles

You have built a solid foundation for yourself, in your life, which you should be proud of, and you have much of what you need, but how do you proceed from here? Or are you happy with the status quo?  The Four of Wands shows a firm and steady base on which the rest of your life can be built, which is referring to your own skills, experience and capabilities, but the Four of Pentacles, beside it, suggests that you fear losing your financial stability by making any changes; so it could be, that you are not moving forward because you are afraid of taking a risk. Whilst it is understandable that keeping a firm hold on what material goods you currently have, ensures you keep what you have got, by not taking any risks you might be hindering chances that could make things even better for you.  In other words, are you holding on to the devil you know, because you don’t want to face the devil you don’t?  The Emperor further suggests that there is a male, quite a dominant influence, which has a lot of importance in your life, and who might influence the decisions you make quite strongly; the Seven of Swords would suggest there is some manipulation at play, so both of these cards would indicate you may not have the control in your life which you desire. The Queen of Pentacles, is a successful and strong woman who has the ability to look after those around her, in her own right, and maybe this is the kind of person you would like to be.  The problem is, things do not move onwards or upwards without taking a risk or two, or making a change; the Queen of Pentacles is in control of her own life and creates her own successes, she would ask you  to look at whether reliance on other people is holding you back.

Capricorn:

Seven of Swords ~ Judgement ~ Nine of Swords ~ Five of Cups ~ The Sun

Dishonesty and manipulation that you are seeing around you is causing you upset.  By exposing  these people and situations, and demanding truth and justice, whether about you or others, is fast becoming so important to you, that it could become a regular issue, and you will feel the pain. Coupled with the Judgement card beside the Seven of Swords, it would seem that you feel that people should be brought to book for their dishonesty, and they should be exposed, so they don’t get to continue hurting others. It might also suggest that you feel strongly that you have to prove to people that you are not dishonest, or manipulative, yourself.  Whilst this is understandable, you cannot be judge and juror of everyone, and that if you want to keep your sanity you must allow those, who you consider to be wrong, to face their own judgement in their own time, by the people who are hurt by them.  There is only so much you can do.  But the anger of all this is hard for you to put to one side and, in your head, it is making you wonder whether you are in the right place and doing the right thing, and this could even get to the point where it could be taking its toll on your personal relationships.  This must not be.  You cannot change the world and all the people in it, you must focus on your own life and those around you that love you, and only do what you can, when you can and not allow this to take over your mind. Once you can reach the place of calm and rationality, learn to put some upsets away in a relevant pigeon hole, your normal sunny character will once more be in charge and The Sun will shine on you and yours, just as it should.

Aquarius:

Eight of Wands ~ King of Wands ~ The Empress ~ Ten of Swords ~ Three of Cups

After lots of hard work, and obstacles to overcome, you are finally motoring, with lots of gusto, creativity and drive.  Things are moving apace not just at work but on a personal level too. It seems that all your input and ‘can do’ attitude is paying off in terms of your projects; and things have built steadily to this point, and these are paying off now. There are still things to learn from those around you and it is important to make sure you get the best of their knowledge and experience before they move on, even though there might not be much more to add to your skills, at this point.  Whilst things are going really well at work, your home relationships are also something which you need to put your all into, nurturing your family is key, patience is needed, but the family grows in beauty and strength as a result of what you put in. The Empress would just caution you to watch your temper if things don’t go your way – you must allow a few things done differently to your way of thinking.  In all relationships it helps to meet in the middle.  The Ten of Swords, to me, is not that something is coming to an end, but in this position ‘What your problem is’ is the fear of your idyll coming to an end.  Worrying about something which is not necessarily going to happen, is damaging in itself.  Learn to trust that all is good at the moment and don’t worry about the ‘what ifs’ – life is too short to be wasting time on worrying about something that is not likely to happen.  The Three of Cups is the card which should assure you that there is nothing to worry about on the relationship front, indeed, you might find there is something to celebrate in February, and it is not just your birthday!  How lovely and exciting! It looks like you are ready to have a change of attitude to, or change your perspective about, the things you have always believed in and just taken for granted as you have grown.  Perhaps you are questioning the whys and wherefores of the World at large.  Perhaps you need to find some system that will help you make sense of the things that are happening around you. Both The Hierophant and the Ace of Swords show us this need to find something that will give you a better understanding of life.  The Ace of Swords could also indicate a new idea or a challenge that you are now ready for.  This reading suggests through the Eight of Cups that you have lost any hope that a relationship, you are in, can survive and it may be that things have gone too far for it to be retrieved.  With your new change of attitude, and perspective, it seems now is a good time to leave the past behind, and go to pastures new with your new way of looking at things.  The Knight of Cups seems to be suggesting you might benefit from looking for a new relationship, even though it is early days, which will match your ideals more closely; and the King of Cups is likely to be letting you know that despite the disappointment and the pain of an unsuccessful relationship, there is a lot to learn, and gain, from the experience. You will find that in the future you will be much more confident about what kind of person you are looking for and what you expect to get from a relationship with them.  That is quite an exciting prospect, and the cards certainly indicate that they think you are ready for this.
